林文學詠春拳 III - 可怕的詠春拳

以上這部影片是從我師父林文學的名為AWESOME KICKING TECHNIQUE 的DVD 中所摘錄出的一小片段。這是繼「後院黐手」(“Backyard Chi Sao”) 之後我個人最喜歡的師父詠春拳示範影片之一。我記得跟師父談到這片段。他告訴我拍攝這片DVD的那一天很炎熱，在南加州的溫度熱的時候可以達到超過華氏100度或攝氏38度。可能是由於氣溫的原因，再加上在戶外拍攝了一整天。能感覺到他在這短片有點激動。但是，在這精彩的片刻師父的速度和爆發力十足展現出詠春拳實戰的威力，我稱之為「可怕的一瞬間」。或者，套用師父的話 - 「半秒鐘解決！」 (“Half second!  Finish!")

Gary Lam Wing Chun III – Fearsome Wing Chun

The above clip was taken from one of Sifu Gary’s DVD’s named AWESOME KICKING TECHNIQUE.  That was one of my most favorite demonstrations of Wing Chun by Sifu.  I remember I talked to Sifu about this particular clip.  He told me that the filming of the DVD was on a hot Southern California day and it was a long shooting day; the temperature in Southern California could reach over 100 degree Fahrenheit or 38 degree Celsius.  The clip was shot at very end of a long outdoor filming day.  You could sense him demonstrated his Wing Chun with, let’s just say, “more emotion” than usual.  But, that was a moment of brilliance with great speed and explosiveness to illustrate the effectiveness of Wing Chun that I call it a “fearsome moment”.  Or, in the own words of my Sifu – “Half second!  Finish!”
